Danielle is the 2008 First Place Laureate of the Sphinx Competition.
Initially, nine semi-finalists competed for the grand prize in the Senior Division in Detroit, Michigan. For more information on the Sphinx Organization and the competition, view the Sphinx website at www.SphinxMusic.org. Some of the many prizes include a solo CD recording under the NAXOS label and solo performances with orchestras across the United States.

The Young Musicians Foundation congratulates violinist Danielle Nesmith for being named the Grand Prize Winner of the 2007 National Debut Competition. Danielle will be performing a concerto with the Debut Orchestra during the upcoming season. Watch for information on the Calendar page. On April 20th, Danielle and seven other Colburn School violinists performed at the 92nd Street Y in New York City. Andrew Norman's virtuoso piece, Grand Turismo for Eight Violins.                           03/14/2007

Last month Danielle placed 4th in the Corpus Christi International Competition for Piano and Strings. She was also awarded the prize for Best Solo Bach Performance.                                                      03/07/2007
